And electricity that is produced by huge coal and nuclear power plants harms the environment, while solar power does not. The only problem is that solar power is far less efficient than coal or nuclear power. Of course, this means that it is also more expensive.

But there are ways to install solar PV (photovoltaic) systems at an affordable price. This will inevitably involve getting your hands a little dirty and climbing up on the roof. Ideally, you want to install the panels so that they receive the maximum amount of direct sunlight each day. Lastly, when it comes to the actual installation, all mounts must be secured with steel lag bolts that are bolted directly into the rafters. Therefore, you must know exactly where these rafters are before you attempt to install a mount. The easiest way to determine this is to have a friend or helper go to the attic and mark off all the rafters before you begin.
